  2.      The count listed for IP Net Numbers reflects the total number of
  3.  networks registered at the NIC for each month.  It does not include the 
  4.  number of IP Net Numbers that are assigned by the NIC in blocks.  When
  5.  the NIC receives the information about a reassigned network in a block,
  6.  it is only then counted as assigned in this report.  This prevents them 
  7.  from being counted twice.  For example:  Feb-93 shows that 90 class B 
  8.  networks were registered, however only 48 class B IP numbers were given out.  
  9.  The remaining 42 were class B numbers that were reassigned from existing
  10.  blocks.

  12.      Also bear in mind that this report used the "activation date" field
  13.  to determine which month the item was assigned.  A small percentage of 
  14.  older records did not have an activation dates.  There were 18 class A 
  15.  IP numbers where the activation date was unknown.

  17.      The count listed for ASNs also does not include the ASNs that are
  18.  issued in blocks.  These are also not included since these numbers will
  19.  be accounted for once they have been reassigned by the block holder.

  21.      The count listed for Domains includes all domains registered by
  22.  the NIC.

  24.      Many class C, European networks, that are registered by RIPE are
  25.  not reflected in this report as well.  The NIC and RIPE will be arranging
  26.  a database transfer soon to populate the current assigned 193 networks.
